It's been a hot minute since I had a chance to go out and explore anything new, due mostly to the chaos of yet another move. This place sits just down the road from my new residence, and was pointed out to me by my new neighbors just as soon as I mentioned I was interested in vacant and architecturally significant buildings. This trio of structures were designed and utilized as art studio spaces, a trend which has continued following their abandonment. It is difficult to find a corner devoid of some form of graffiti, sculpture, sketch, pottery, poetry, or painting. The aesthetic style of the buildings themselves is difficult to describe, and my pictures don't nearly do it justice. These are spaces that need to be experienced to be understood.  

What kind of insect pest nest is this? And the yellow droppings under the nests (above). The pest coccoon nest seems to be made of some sort of elastic cotton material.

The only advice one should take to heart from this thread is to please seek medical attention from a professional if you happen to be experiencing any of the signs and symptoms mentioned in this thread. ------- I hope in this thread that I dont come off as insensitive to those of you who have family or friends who suffer from this mental health issue, but I am largely ignorant of the topic and Im trying to educate myself (but mostly vent I guess..) so as to be of a more empathetic spirit towards an acquaintance of mine who not only suffers from this illness but I fear may also be in an abusive environment, though unfortunately I dont actually know all the details, or if I should even get involved. I am not a close acquaintance...we went to High School together, but we didint talk much after, only seeing each other here and there...and at some point his mental health must have took a dive. But tonight I went out to the diner and after a while there he just suddenly showed up asking if he could sit with me and talk a while. He was mostly incoherent and difficult to understand, but from what bit I did understand it seemed like the people he's surrounded by are really mean to him, making fun of him for how his meds make his speech slurred and addles his thinking, and calling hims "slow", including his mom and brother. He even said his mother is prohibiting him from having girl friends for religious reason (weather he could even sustain a relationship in his condition is another talk, I just think its a little control freaky for her to do that.) I asked him if he has a counselor/therapist and also if he told the doc that prescribes him his med that he didint like them, and he does but he seems to believe they dont actually have his best interests in mind, and they apparently also tell him not to have girl friends. I have no idea if or how I would be of any help to him, and if Im being honest, and although he's never expressly threatened me, I find myself rather frightened around him what with him talking to the voices he's hearing, one apparently God himself. I mean, how do you tell someone suffering from this "No I really dont think Gods telling you to stop taking your meds" and that go well? I just needed to talk about this. Im not very close to this guy or his family, and I feel like its all pretty much out of my scope, but he seemed pretty disturbed tonight when he met me at the diner, and if he really is being abused I dont want to turn a blind eye to what may have been a desperate cry for help. So, anyway, if any of you who read this have any input of advice, or just want to talk about your own experiences, heres a thread to do that. Thanks in advance.

A company called GlobPresto Group (Belfast) has been referenced on a fake version of a TorqueCars site. There are a number of fake testimonials from members on here who have never had any dealings with the GlobPresto Group. We are currently pursuing legal action against the perpetrator. If you have been involved with a car for sale and the GlobPresto Group name has been mention BEWARE. DO not part with your money and proceed with extreme caution. If we get more information we will pass this on in this thread. We DO NOT SELL CARS. We Do not have any dealings with a GlobPresto Group and have no basis at all for recommending them I am totally convinced this is a scam after doing some due diligence.

So I've read that one advantage of diy lathering is that brushes are supposed to help lift hair. Maybe it's the analytical side of me... but I just don't see a shaving brush doing this. Some are floppy. Even ones with backbone are promoted to have soft tips so it feels nice. How is anything soft and non-scratchy supposed to help lift hair?

Has anyone downloaded such applications and is it really possible to earn something in this way?

I have no issues adding the credit cards to P7P Google Wallet, but for 2 cards I had to use the specific app. I'd have to add them to the Wallet of Pixel Watch, but I get an error if I do it from the Wallet app, as I had if I did it on the phone. Unluckily there are no specific Wear OS banking apps for those cards...

Perhaps it's a dumb question for more experienced players, but I've searched for the source of this claim, that most card counting in blackjack is based on, but have never found it. More high cards than low in a shoe would tend to lead to higher ranked hands for anyone playing including the dealer would it not? How do you know it won't just help the dealer in some scenarios, like one on one, etc? Is it simply a belief or did someone at some point run billions of simulations and find it to be generally true that more high cards will benefit the players more than the dealer?

Where do ferners sit? I haven't heard any argument for a yes vote that makes sense to me. Places I've been in the world that decriminalised cannabis, legalisation doesn't make those cities more desirable to be in. Legalising cannabis to keep Maori out of prison is a crazy reason to do it. Improving discretion of the police to avoid prosecution in cases of possession seems like a better way to me. Considering the way kids can walk into dairies and buy ciggies and booze, and the way the party drug experience turned out, I think its unrealistic to expect people to act responsibly if the floodgates are opened. Shane Jones has the right idea, he'll vote no because the Greens want it 😆
