So I've read that one advantage of diy lathering is that brushes are supposed to help lift hair. Maybe it's the analytical side of me... but I just don't see a shaving brush doing this. Some are floppy. Even ones with backbone are promoted to have soft tips so it feels nice. How is anything soft and non-scratchy supposed to help lift hair?
